UK question.

UK people! Who can tell me some good places to go in East Anglia?

Y'see, I intend to visit Yaxham in Norfolk, which apparently is near Norwich and is where many of Dad's ancestors hailed from. I also intend to visit Wymondham in Leicestershire, near Melton Mowbray, which is where some of Mum's ancestors come from. The plan is to find a base and spend three or four nights there in each general vicinity we choose; so I'd like to find a good place in Norfolk somewhere.

Also, we didn't really spend any time at all on that side of England last time (apart from a few hours in Cambridge) and apart from the ancestry stuff I can't really tell what's best to see from all the activities and places offering themselves up in the guidebooks and online. So any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Ely Cathedral! Gorgeous pile of stone, flings itself up from the fens amazingly.
